2005 Van Cliburn Competition finalist, Davide Cabassi made his orchestral debut at the age of thirteen with the RAI Symphony Orchestra in Milan. Since then, he has played rousing concerts in Austria, China, France, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Russia, Scandinavia, and Switzerland, highlighted by appearances in Salzburg’s Mozarteum, the Gasteig in Munich, and Rachmaninoff Hall in Moscow.

After graduating from Milan’s Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory, Cabassi was selected by the International Piano Foundation to study with greats including Karl Ulrich Schnabel, Dmitri Bashkirov, and Leon Fleisher. He is prominently featured in the current documentary, In the Heart of Music -- aptly titled for this brilliant pianist’s heartfelt, passionate renderings.
