A Dazzling Pre-Christmas Concert

“Simply fabulous” is the only way to describe the beautiful and talented Svetlana Smolina. She is a highly sought-after, world-renowned classical pianist, one of the top keyboard virtuosos performing today. Winner of countless awards and recognitions, her brilliant performances leave audiences dazzled.

Svetlana will appear on Sunday, December 8, at 2 p.m. at the Richards Center for the Arts in Palm Springs. Concert audiences should feel privileged to hear this brilliant artist perform.

With a wardrobe to match her extraordinary talents, Svetlana leaves concert goers with a sensory experience they will cherish and long remember. It can only be compared to the effect the legendary pianist Clara Schumann must have had on European audiences a century and a half ago.

Svetlana has performed with orchestras and in recitals worldwide, including at Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall in New York City. She has appeared with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Orchestra National de France, the Dublin Philharmonic, the Odessa and Novgorod Philharmonic and many other orchestras.

Svetlana has also been a headliner at many famous seasonal festivals, including the Salzburg, Hollywood Bowl, Ravinia, Moscow Easter, Berlin, Covent Garden, Philadelphia and Hanoi.

As a young performer, she received the coveted “New Names” scholarship award in her native Russia. Surprisingly, in addition to being trained and educated in Europe at the Balakirev Music College and Brussels Conservatory, Svetlana has polished her skills here in the United States at the University of Michigan, at Indiana University, and at the Oberlin Conservatory.

This performance is the first in Palm Springs Concerts’ stellar 2024-25 line-up.

Please note: All sales final. No refunds.
